It’s 2018, but yet skin complexion and colorism is still an issue.

Love & Hip Hop Miami highlighted the colorist issues still in the Latina community that dates back to slavery. You’ve probably already heard about the conflict between Young Hollywood and Amara La Negra. Further confirmation that colorism issues still exist in different communities of color.  More Coming Soon….

2017 was Cardi B’s year but even she faced some criticism for use of the  “N” word and references for not having “good hair.” Although Cardi B is Dominican (most likely with African blood), the sensitive subject of how Haitians are treated in the Dominican Republic combined with her own racial comments have fueled some backlash against her in social media.

YouTuber lovelyti2002 has covered race backlash that Cardi B has faced in several of her videos.
